Togetherness of Aerobics and Yoga

Like other muscles, the heart enjoys a good workout and in form of aerobic exercise can provide it. Aerobic exercise is form of exercise that makes heart’s proper functioning, pumping and improving breathing. Under regular workout for heart, this makes it stronger and more efficient in delivering oxygen in the form of oxygen-carrying blood cells to all body organs or parts.

While playing team sports, probably meeting minimum level of 60 minutes workouts or more vigorous activity on practice days. Some team sports activities include a great aerobic workout are basketball, soccer, swimming, lacrosse, hockey, and rowing.

But if you don't play group or team sports, then no need to worry as there are other plenty of ways to perform aerobic exercises on your own or with friends. These include swimming, biking, running, in-line skating, dancing, tennis, cross-country skiing, hiking and walking quickly. In fact, self performing exercises are much easier to continue for very long even after completing your daily work or college etc. That helps you to stay fit much easier in later stages of life.

Strength Training :

The heart isn't the only muscle to get the results or benefits. Preferably all muscles in our body enjoy exercises too. When we use our muscles while exercising it becomes stronger, this makes us to stay active for longer periods of time without getting worn out.

Having strong muscles protect while performing exercise as they support joints, helps to prevent injuries or accidents. More energy is burnt while performing exercise for muscles which helps in burning more calories and maintains a healthy weight level.

Based on muscles, different types of exercise are followed to strengthen it, for example:

  • Muscles of arms can be strengthened and built by try rowing or cross-country skiing. Pull-ups and push-ups, those old gym class standbys are best suited for arm muscles.
  • For building strong leg muscles, try running, biking, rowing or skating. Leg raises and Squats also helpful.
  • For perfect stomach abs, go for beat -rowing, yoga or pilates and crunches.
