Constipation is a disorder in which the bowel movements are quite discomforting when passing stool. The disorder can worsen when the faecal matter does not pass at all leading to fatal situations. Constipation is a painful disorder and has to be dealt with. A lot of it is due to the dietary habits. A proper diet has to be stuck to so that it can be controlled.

Vegetarian Diet:

 Early morning  

 Breakfast

 A fresh bowl of fruits or vegetable salad. 

 

 A spinach and corn sandwich with cottage cheese or a bowl of cereal (high fibre), one apple or some pineapple with a glass orange juice.

 Brunch

 One glass of prune juice and an apple.

 Lunch

 2-3 chapattis, one green leafy sabzi (steamed or boiled), one bowl of raw vegetable salad.

 Evening Meal

 Half bowl of high fibrous salad with lemon squeeze.

 Dinner

 Raw vegetable salad with chapatti one green sabzi (without gravy).

 

Non-vegetarian Diet:

 Early morning 

 

 Breakfast

 A fresh bowl of fruits or vegetable salad. 

 

 One turkey or chicken sandwich with cheese.

 Brunch

 Prune juice with a fibrous fruit.

 Lunch

 Boiled or shredded chicken with curd and 2 whole grain chapattis and half bowl salad.

 Evening Meal

 One glass orange juice.

 Dinner

 One bowl fresh and raw vegetable salad.

 

The best and worst foods for your Constipation:

The best foods are – raw vegetable salads, fruitsand other high-fibre foods.

The worst ones are – oily and fried foods, red meat, spicy foods, gravy foods, fatty foods and anything that is hard to digest.

 

Constipation in its initial stages is still controllable. But, once it becomes chronic from acute – it can create problems for the patient. To avoid it, a healthy and fibrous diet is needed. The above-mentioned diet can come into play for such a situation and can help cure constipation at a faster rate.
