An American sprinter Antonio Pettigrew,3 November 1967born, who focussed in 400 meters race. He came to limelight in 1991 World Championships by winning gold medal in 400 m and a silver medal in the 4 x 400 meters relay as well won gold medal in 4 × 400 in Summer Olympics 2000 in Sydney.

In 2008, prosecution documents related to the trial of Coach Trevor Graham listed Pettigrew had used performanceenhancing drugs. Pettigrew then accepted of using performanceenhancing drugs and given evidence against Graham at his trial in May 2008.Although IAAF rules currently do notalter results more than eight years old, Pettigrew returned the medals he won in that duration. The Sydney Olympics 2000 in relay4 × 400 m was stripped of medals after Pettigrew accepted that he had used performance-enhancing drugs. Antonio received a 2 year athletics ban in 2008.
