Oats Uttapam

For Batter:

  • Half cup of oats.
  • One fourth cup of sooji.
  • One fourth cup of
  • Take enough water as per requirement.
  • Very little quantity of lemon juice.
  • One by eight part of some baking soda.
  • Take salt as per taste. 

Veggies: 

  • Take small size of sliced onion.
  • Take normal size of sliced tomato or used as chunked.
  • One small bell pepper, which is thin sliced.
  • Take small chopped green chilly.
  • Put some chopped coriander leaves
  • Use oil of good brand.

 Preparing:

  • Take half cup of quick cooking oats and grind it.
  • Grind it into flour and also use normal flour in a mixing bowl.
  • Now add one fourth cup of rava or sooji (with cream of wheat) also add one fourth cup gram flour and add salt to taste.
  • Add two third cup of water, Mix well and make proper mixture without any lumps.
  • Cover the bowl and left until it soaked in water for 15-20 minutes.
  • meanwhile rinse and cut one sliced onion, Bell pepper and tomato paste, also cut one green chilly with some coriander leaves.
  • Add some veggies according to your taste.
  • After 15 to 20 minutes, the batter looks thicken as the besan, oats and sooji will absorb water.
  • Add the quantity of water according to the requirement of oats. No problem in adding extra ml of water loosen up the thickness .
  • Mix well after add little quantity of lemon juice into it.
  • Add 2 to 3 pinches of baking soda, mix it well.
  • Use non stick pan. (if possible it help to reduce the quantity of oil).
  • Reduce the flame, take full of the batter and pour the batter on the pan, Gently spread the batter into round circle.
  • Add all the veggies properly on pan.
  • Add a spoon of oil on the cente and on sides of uttapam.
  • Cook the uttapam base properly, while cooking make sure of the flame.
  • After cook on both sides serve hot with sweet or green sauce.
