Mom’s Favourite Dalia
•Bulgar Wheat: 1 cup
•Water 2 ¾ cups
•Onions (chopped): 2
•Slit green chili: 1
•Mustard seeds: 1 tsp.
•Cumin Seeds: 1 ½ tsp.
•Coriander leaves: 3 tbsp.
•Cauliflower florets: 3
•French beans (washed and chopped): 10
•Tomatoes (chopped): 1 medium
•Carrot (chopped): 1 tbsp.
•Green peas: 1 tbsp.
•Salt as per taste
•Oil: 2 tbsp.
•Curry leaves (washed and torn): 4 springs
Method of preparation:
•Now, take a wok and roast the Dalia dry to ensure that it is free light brown and smelling good.
•After that, remove from plate and put it on a plate.
•Heat oil in the same utensil.
•Add mustard and cumin seeds to the wok once the oil becomes hot.
•Let it splutter.
•After that, add green chilli, onions, and curry leaves.
•Let the onions cook lightly brown.
•Add coriander leaves and stir well.
•Now add vegetables, tomato and salt and mix it.
•Mix 2 tbsp. of water so that the mixture can be prevented from sticking.
•Use medium flame to cook it for 5 minutes.
•Keep mixing properly.
•Add more water to it in the pressure cooker.
•Pressure cook it for 2 to 3 whistles.
•Now turn off the flame and cook the Dalia on the developed Dalia in the cooker.
•Cook for 2-3 minutes and garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot.
